OMEGA-3  ·  HEART

Whole salmon oil, at the honest end of the shelf.

1000 mg of salmon fish oil per softgel — a whole marine oil rather than a distilled concentrate. It is the simplest, least expensive way to put marine omega-3 into a daily routine.

We are precise about what this is, and about what it is not. If you want a fixed EPA and DHA split declared on the front of the label, that product is XTYMN Triple Strength — and we will point you there rather than blur the difference.

PER SOFTGEL
1000mgSALMON FISH OIL
90SOFTGEL CAPSULES
1SOFTGEL PER SERVING
ONE JOB — A DAILY MARINE OMEGA-3 HABIT, KEPT SIMPLE AND AFFORDABLE.
THE FORM

Whole oil or concentrate. It is the only question that matters in fish oil.

A concentrate is distilled so the omega-3 fraction is raised and everything else is reduced — that is how a single softgel can declare 600 mg of EPA. A whole oil is the oil as it comes from the fish: naturally rich in EPA and DHA, but not standardised to a fixed number. Both are legitimate. They are not the same purchase.

INGREDIENTSalmon oil. A naturally omega-3-rich marine oil, carrying EPA and DHA in the proportions the fish provides.
FORMWhole oil, not a distilled concentrate. 1000 mg per softgel.
WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOUA gentle, low-cost entry into a daily omega-3 routine. For a declared, fixed EPA and DHA figure per capsule, step up to a concentrate.
WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

What to know before you choose a fish oil — ours or anyone else’s.

Capsule size is not omega-3 content

“1000 mg” on a fish-oil label describes the oil, not the EPA and DHA inside it. Every fish oil you compare should be compared on its EPA and DHA figures, per softgel, per day. That single habit will save you more money than any discount code.

HOW TO READ A FISH-OIL LABEL

The threshold that matters is 250 mg

The EU-authorised function claim linking EPA and DHA to the normal function of the heart is met at a combined 250 mg per day. That is the reference point worth carrying into any comparison, including a comparison of our own two products.

EU REG. 432/2012 · AUTHORISED CLAIM CONDITIONS

Omega-3 is a fat, and fats oxidise

Marine oils degrade with heat, light and time. Keep the bottle closed, cool and out of the sun, and finish it within a sensible window after opening. A rancid fish oil is worse than no fish oil.

HONEST ANSWERS

Questions we would ask before buying this.

How much EPA and DHA does one softgel give me?
Salmon oil is a whole natural oil rather than a standardised concentrate, so its EPA and DHA content is declared on the nutritional information panel of the pack you receive. If you want a fixed split printed on the front of the label, XTYMN Triple Strength states 600 mg EPA and 400 mg DHA per softgel.
Should I buy this or the Triple Strength?
Buy this if you want the least expensive way to start a daily omega-3 routine. Buy Triple Strength if you are the kind of person who wants to check the arithmetic before you swallow it — the concentrate exists precisely for that.
Will it give me fishy burps?
It might. This is a standard softgel without an enteric coating. Taking it with a full meal and keeping the bottle cool both help. If fishy repeat is your deal-breaker, the enteric-coated Triple Strength is the version built to solve it.
When will I feel nothing yet?
For the first two months, very likely. Omega-3 changes cell-membrane composition gradually. Nothing about this product is designed to produce a same-week sensation.
Is it safe with my medication?
Speak to your doctor if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, have a bleeding disorder, or have surgery scheduled. Marine omega-3 can affect clotting at higher intakes.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
No. It is salmon oil in a gelatin softgel. The pack carries the non-vegetarian mark.
How should I store it?
Closed, cool, dark and below 25 °C. Fish oil oxidises with heat and light — a bottle left on a sunny kitchen shelf is doing itself no favours.

Mild smell, easy to take

I am still deciding whether this fits comfortably into my routine. There is a mild fishy smell, so I prefer not to leave the bottle open for long. I have not used enough of the bottle to form a longer-term opinion. It is too early for a final opinion.
