Vitamin D3 helps your body absorb calcium from food. Vitamin K2 decides where that calcium actually goes. Take them together and you get the full picture: calcium directed into bone tissue instead of soft tissue.
Most people in India are low on vitamin D despite plenty of sunlight, because of indoor work, sunscreen, pollution and darker skin tones. Low D3 shows up as tiredness, low mood, frequent illness, muscle aches and slow recovery after workouts.
K2 (as MK-7) activates two proteins: osteocalcin, which binds calcium into bone, and matrix GLA protein, which keeps calcium out of arteries. This is why a good D3 supplement pairs it with K2 rather than selling them separately.
How to take it: both are fat-soluble, so take your D3 + K2 with your largest meal of the day. Consistency matters more than dose timing. If you are on blood thinners, talk to your doctor before adding K2.
